There is no end to the flight of PTI leaders as more and more of them are quitting the party and joining other political parties, particularly the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, (IPP), following the incidents of violence of May 9, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In the latest instance, Usman Rasheed, son of former MNA from Narowal Mian Rasheed, and PTI ticketholder Sajjad Mehns have joined the IPP along with other local politicians.
As panic gripped PTI leaders and workers after the May 9 violence and they started looking for alternate political forums, Jahangir Khan Tareen, a veteran politician, launched the IPP on June 8, 2023 to accommodate these renegades.
Although initially dozens of PTI leaders announced they were joining the newly formed party, and the party held couple of meetings as well, but soon the process slowed down.
