A four-star hotel located on Shahrah-e-Faisal in Karachi has been transformed into Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT) Trust Hospital, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Monday.

According to the channel report, the possession of the hotel building was handed over to SIUT on July 1 after paying a substantial amount of Rs14.5 billion.

Sources said hotel operations will continue until July 19, after which the building will be formally handed over to the hospital administration.

The multi-story building located in the heart of Karachi has 440 rooms and spans a total area of 47,032 square yards.

The hotel building also includes parking facilities and a main hall.

SIUT has deployed security personnel at the building and planned to prepare the hospital layout after getting complete possession on July 19.
