The first direct flight of Ethiopian Airlines will reach Karachi on Tuesday morning after a gap of 19 years, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest network operating carrier in Africa, will operate 4 weekly flights every week from Addis Ababa to Karachi and vice versa.  The first flight from Karachi to Addis Ababa is scheduled to leave at 5:55 am.

High-ranking officials and business delegations are arriving in Pakistan from Ethiopia tomorrow on a maiden flight.

Ethiopian first served Karachi from July 1966 to December 1971, and resumed the service from June 1993 until July 2004.

Karachi will be the 37th destination of Ethiopian Airlines in Asia. Currently, Ethiopia Airlines are serving more than 145 domestic and international passenger and cargo destinations.
