Following their defeat against New Zealand in the fifth one-day international in Karachi, the Pakistan cricket team has now slipped to third position in the latest ICC Men's ODI rankings allowing both Australia and India to move past them to the first and second places respectively.

The Green Shirts were defeated by a second-string NZ side convincingly by 47 runs after failing to chase down a target of 300.

Before the start of the fifth match, the Pakistan team have a 4-0 lead in the five-match series and just secured the No. 1 ranking in ODIs. Green shirts were looking to seal a 5-0 result that could have kept them atop the ODI rankings they reached after winning on Friday.
