United Arab Emirates (UAE) has temporarily suspended issuance of labour visas for unskilled Pakistanis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Pakistan Overseas Promoters confirmed the ban imposed by the UAE terming it bad news for people going for jobs from Pakistan.

In this regard, Pakistan Overseas Promotor Adnan Paracha said that the UAE Immigration Department has imposed this ban while job applications are being rejected due to the new policy and Pakistani working class will be badly affected by this new policy.

He said that remittances of over $450 million are received from UAE every month.

Adnan Paracha said that the ban on going to the UAE for employment will cause a great loss to Pakistan as well.
