Islamabad lawyers declare tomorrow’s strike in solidarity with public

The Islamabad Bar Association has declared a strike on Sept 9 (tomorrow) to express solidarity with the public, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

The Islamabad Bar Association gives the strike call as a gesture of solidarity with the public, showcasing the legal community's commitment to addressing pressing issues of public concern including price hikes, inflated electricity of bills, lawlessness, and supremacy of the constitution.   

The notification bearing the signature of Rai Asad Naveed Bhatti, Islamabad Bar Association Secretary stated that as part of this strike, lawyers affiliated with the Islamabad Bar Association will abstain from appearing in court proceedings scheduled for tomorrow. The move underscores the legal community's resolve to stand united with the public, echoing their concerns and demands.
