Chinese envoy visits nuclear power plants in Karachi

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, along with his delegation, visited the nuclear power plant in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The Chinese delegation visited Karachi's two nuclear power plants, 'K2' and 'K3'.

The chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, Dr Raja Ali Raza Anwar, welcomed the distinguished guests.

Both power plants were established with the cooperation of a friendly country, China.

A total of 2200 MW of electricity is being supplied to the national grid from both nuclear power plants.

During the visit, a detailed briefing was given to the Chinese delegation regarding Pakistan's nuclear power program.
