The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) administration has decided to purchase 32,000 kilogrammes of sugar and has issued a tender for the procurement, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

According to sources, the sugar will be used to enhance passenger hospitality on PIA flights, with the requirement that the sugar be 100% pure and refined.

Interested companies are required to submit a 5 kg sealed sample of the sugar as part of their tender application.

As per the tender, organisations wishing to participate in the tender process can submit their applications by September 18.

Additionally, PIA has mandated that a copy order worth Rs. 1 lakh must accompany the application.

The move is part of PIA's effort to improve in-flight services and passenger satisfaction by ensuring high-quality amenities on board.
