Bride, groom robbed on their Walima day in Shikarpur

A newly-wed couple was looted by dacoits on their Walima day in Shikarpur District of Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The newly-weds were travelling to Panu Aqil in a car after their Walima ceremony which was held on Faizu Link Road in Khanpur Tehsil of Shikarpur.

They were stopped by a dacoits gang on Indus Highway and robbed the groom, bride and their family members of cash, valuables and mobile phones.

 Groom Farhan told police that unidentified armed men stopped their car and snatched valuables from them.

Police said a report has been registered and they had launched a manhunt by cordoning off the area.
