Pakistan debt risen to Rs59,247 billion in first 9 months of FY23

The Government of Pakistan debt has risen to Rs59,247 billion by March 2023, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

During the ongoing financial year, the volume of debt of the GoP has increased by over Rs10,000 billion in last nine months.

Till March 2023, the volume of domestic loans remained more than Rs35,000 billion. While the foreign debt rose to record Rs24,171 billion in the same period.

The external loan was increased by Rs6,014 billion in the last nine months of the current fiscal year.

While the domestic debt was risen by Rs3,991 billion during July-March, as has been revealed in the Economic Survey Report 2022-23.
