Pervez Khattak along with his like-minded colleagues will join Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) as the matters between him and Jehangir Khan Tareen (JKT) have reportedly been settled, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The informed sources have said that Pervez Khattak has been in constant contact with Jahangir Khan Tareen, and he will be given an important position in Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).

Pervez Khattak is likely to be made the general secretary of the IPP.

Masood Shafqat quits PTI

Masood Shafqat Rabera, ex-MPA of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from Okara, announced leaving the party, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Masood Shafqat, in his video statement, strongly condemned the May 9 incidents.

“Those who set the memorials of martyrs on fire do not deserve leniency,” he stated.

“And those who set fire to the corps commander’s house in Lahore should also be punished severely,” he added.

It is to be noted here that Masood Shafqat was the only successful PTI candidate from Okara in 2013.
