All educational institutes in Punjab to remain shut tomorrow; 9th paper cancelled

All the educational institutes in Punjab province will remain shut tomorrow (Wednesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday. 

Secretary Higher Education Javed Akhtar Mahmood also announced the postponement of the upcoming Class IX paper has been postponed.

He said colleges and universities will also remain closed tomorrow.

Secretary Schools Education also announced that all public and private schools will remain closed throughout Punjab tomorrow.

The decision is taken considering the deteriorating law and order situation in the province after the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan. 

Earlier, all Pakistan Private Schools Federation Tuesday announced the closure of private schools in the country tomorrow (Wednesday, May 10) due to the current law and order situation in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

President All Pakistan Private Schools Federation Kashif Mirza said due to the emergency situation in the country all the private schools will remain shut in the country on Wednesday, May 10.

He said the next announcement of reopening the schools for regular classes will be announced tomorrow after holding consultations with all stakeholders.

He also appealed to the parents, staff and teachers to stay peaceful and vigilant during the current situation.
