Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court challenging the Election Commission of Pakistan's (ECP) decision to conduct an inquiry into the party's intra-party elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Monday.

The petition was submitted by three officials, including Barrister Gauhar Khan, who have named the Secretary of the ECP as a respondent in the case.

The petition raises objections regarding the ECP's jurisdiction to initiate such an inquiry and also contests the ECP's decision not to return items seized during a raid on PTI's office.

The petitioners argue that the ECP's actions are biased and that the orders issued are mechanical in nature. They have requested the court to annul the ECP's decisions.
