A boy drowned in the River Ravi near Babu Sabu in Lahore on Friday, the 24NewsHJD TV channel reported.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, a 15-year-old boy, identified as Umar, son of Yaseen, was reported to have been washing his motorcycle by the riverbank near Do Moriya Bridge when the accident happened.
Eyewitnesses told emergency responders that the boy slipped and fell into the river during the process.
The locals informed Rescue 1122 immediately, and a team of professional divers was dispatched to the scene.
After a thorough search operation, the divers successfully recovered Umar's body from the water.
The authorities have since handed over the body to the family following identification.
