CJP Justice Yahya Afridi briefs delegation of KP Bar on judicial reforms

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Association delegation called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi on Friday, Peshawar High Court Chief Justice and Registrar of the apex court were also present on the occasion. 

According to an official statement release by the SC, Justice Yahya Afridi briefed the lawyers about judicial reforms. He said for the firsts time Bar members were included in Law and Justice Commission.

The CJP said in order to bring transparent reforms in judicial system, members of lawyers community were added in it. Justice Yahya Afridi said important decisions were taken in the National Judicial Policy-Making Committee and a Response Committee on Enforced Disappearances has been formed and instructions have been given to the High Courts to prevent external pressure on the subordinate judiciary.

The CJP said SC was introducing a court-linked arbitration system and the use of modern technology has begun in the judiciary.
