Pakistan recorded below-normal rainfall in July 2026, with the country receiving 6 per cent less rain than the average during the month, according to rainfall data.
The country received an average of 89.3 millimetres of rainfall in July 2026, showing a decline compared to normal levels.
Sindh experienced the highest rainfall deficit, receiving 74 per cent less rainfall than normal. Balochistan also faced a severe shortage, with rainfall recorded 35 per cent below the average.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received 7.4 per cent less rainfall than normal during July.
In contrast, Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 2.9 per cent more rainfall than normal, while Punjab witnessed a slight increase of 6.1 per cent.
Gilgit-Baltistan recorded an extraordinary rise in rainfall, receiving 86.2 per cent more rain than normal during the month.
The data showed that July 2025 had recorded 25 per cent more rainfall than normal, while July 2024 witnessed 9 per cent less rainfall compared to the average.
