Authorities in Peshawar on Tuesday sealed four schools on the recommendation of the District Health Officer after positive COVID-19 cases were reported among students, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Peshawar DHO closed off four educational institutions and hostels with immediate effect for one week and quarantined positive cases in the exercise of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Epidemic Control and Emergency Relief Act 2020 and Section 22 of the National Disaster Management Authority (KP) Act 2010.

Schools that have been closed for one week are Directorate Special Education Complex Phase-V, Islamabad, Government High School Sardar Ghari GT Road, Government High School Pshtakhara Road Sarband and Pak Turk Maarif International School Circular Road Town Campus Junior Section.
In Jhelum, Government Girls High School was sealed after eight students and three teachers contracted COVID-19. Now five schools in Jhelum have been sealed over the coronavirus cases.
Earlier on Monday, a girls’ college in Qambar in Sindh was sealed after five corona cases surfaced.
