Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei appeared in public on Monday after remaining out of sight for several weeks, easing speculation surrounding his absence.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Ayatollah Khamenei visited the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, where he offered prayers.
During the visit, the supreme leader also met Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Ayatollah Khomeini, according to Iranian media reports.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also arrived at the mausoleum along with members of his cabinet, joining the commemorative visit.
The appearance marked Ayatollah Khamenei’s first public outing in weeks and drew significant attention amid ongoing political and regional developments involving Iran.
