The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday issued a notice reminding members of the parliament and members of the provincial assemblies of their statutory obligation to submit details of their assets and liabilities under Section 137 of the Elections Act, 2017.
According to the notice, members were required to submit statements of their own assets and liabilities, as well as those of their family members, to the Election Commission of Pakistan by December 31, 2025. These details were to be provided in Form-B, reflecting their financial status as of June 30, 2017.
The Election Commission has now informed members of the Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies who have not yet complied with this requirement to submit their statements during office hours by January 15, 2026.
The notice warns that failure to submit the assets statements by the specified date will result in the suspension of the concerned members’ membership by the Election Commission on January 16, 2026.
The prescribed forms for assets and liabilities are available for download from the Election Commission’s official website.
