The matter of cutting the legs of a camel in Tehsil Kunari of Umarkot has taken a new direction as a report revealed that the legs of the camel were cut off after death, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The reality came to light when a video surfaced in which it could be seen that the legs of the camel were intact for some time after the camel’s death.

Taking notice of the incident, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Umerkot Asif Raza Baloch ordered DSP Kunari to investigate the matter.

On the orders of SSP, a veterinarian, Dr Anil Kumar, and DSP visited the said place, and in the initial report, it was confirmed that the legs of the camel were cut off after its death.

According to initial reports, the camel was ill for several days, and its legs were amputated several hours after its death.

The owner of the camel, Abdul Rasheed, said that the camel must have been sick, but it disappeared with the herd.

According to local people, camels's legs and feet are used to make medicine for strength, and some sage must have cut it.

They said a farmer must have cut off the legs because, by burning the bones of the camel and making smoke, diseases are eliminated from the chilli crop.

It may be mentioned here that a dead body of a camel with all four legs amputated was found in Tehsil Kunari of Umerkot yesterday.
