Australia has advised its citizens not to travel to Afghanistan in view of security situation in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to an advisory posted by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) on its website, Smart Traveler, all Australian citizens are advised not to travel to Afghanistan.
It has been further stated in the advisory that Australian citizens have been killed and injured in Afghanistan and have been kept in illegal detention.
According to the department, no area in Afghanistan is safe, including capital Kabul. “Therefore, Australian citizens are advised not to travel to the country even if they have to meet their relatives or visit archaeological sites or participate in cultural activities,” the department added.
