In a shocking incident, a man got his father killed in Karachi over a property dispute by giving his supari to his friend, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Ibrahim Hyderi area of the city.
Police said that Ijaz, son of Muhammad Iqbal, who was eyeing his father’s property, plotted to kill him, and for that he assigned the task to his close friend Shiraz in lieu of Rs15,000 cash and one iPhone.
Shiraz forced his entry into Iqbal’s house and shot him dead.
Later, the incident was portrayed as that of dacoity; however, a special team, constituted by the SSP Malir, succeeded in solving the case.
Police arrested Ijaz and his friend Shiraz, and recovered from them a pistol, a cellphone and the motorcycle which was used in the incident.
Later, the suspects were handed over to the investigation wing.
The police were carrying out raids to arrest other partners in the crime till last reports came in.
The FIR of the incident was registered under sections related to murder.
The SSP Malir has applauded the police team for its successful operation.
