The blind murder of a British national in Gujranwala has been solved nearly two years after the crime as the Crime Control Department (CCD) found that victim's son and widow were behind the murder, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
British national Mirza Shahzad Baig was shot dead by unknown persons in the Model Town police station area, two years ago.
During the initial investigation, four suspects, including Nauman and Zaheer, were charge-sheeted. The interrogation revealed that Shahzaib and Shahnaz had given money to kill Shahzad Baig.
CCD arrested both Shahzaib and Shahnaz. Preliminary investigations suggest that the motive behind the murder was a property dispute. Sources claimed the accused feared that the victim's assets might be transferred to another person as he was planning to remarry.
