Former state minister and central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Talal Chaudhry has said that PTI chief Imran Khan should be tried in the military court as the former prime minister is the mastermind of the May 9 incidents, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Faisalabad on Wednesday, he said Imran Khan was the main "architect" of the May 9 incidents in which military and state installations were attacked by his party workers following his arrest in a corruption case.
“This is a test case of the state, if there is no punishment, no one will be safe in the country,” Talal Chaudhary added.
He claimed that PTI activists attacked the sensitive buildings at the call and back of Imran Khan.
The PML-N leader said that PTI workers and supporters crushed Pakistan on May 9. “Now, propaganda is being done against the institutions to save the miscreants involved in the May 9 incidents,” he hinted. Even, women are being used as shields, Chaudhary hinted.
The former state minister regretted that the people were brainwashed and trained for the events of May 9.
“If those who attacked the judicial complex were punished, the tragedy of May 9 would not have happened,” Talal bemoaned.
Taking a dig at Imran Khan, he said the PTI chairman has been granted bail in more than a dozen cases.
