Jeddah Cricket Tournament final ends in glorious win for Green

The final match of the Jeddah Cricket Tournament, organised by the Jeddah Cricket Club, was held in the coastal city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, between Jeddah Blue and Jeddah Green.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Jeddah Blue batted first, setting a target of 125 runs in the allotted overs. In response, the batsmen of Jeddah Green showcased an impressive performance and successfully chased down the target, losing only two wickets in the process, securing the victory and lifting the winning trophy.

The final was graced by the chief guest, Aqeel Arain, Managing Director of a local company and President of the Jeddah Business Community. Special guests at the event included Chaudhry Shahid Pervaiz, Anjum Iqbal Warraich, and Syed Musarrat Khaleel. The event also saw the presence of Jeddah Cricket Club Chairman Mirza Mahmood-ul-Hassan and Majid Saeed.

Addressing the ceremony, Club President Abdul Majid Khan and organiser Waseem Khan warmly welcomed the guests, stating that organising cricket tournaments is not only a means of promoting brotherhood and love but also a way to foster health and teach patience and tolerance.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Aqeel Arain congratulated the organisers for hosting such a successful tournament and appreciated the Jeddah Cricket Club's efforts to promote cricket despite limited resources. He also encouraged the players to maintain discipline and praised tournament organiser Waseem Ahmed, assuring continued support in the future.

The ceremony concluded with the chief guest distributing awards among the players.
