Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to provide all out amenities in government schools under the education emergency plan, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday to review education system in government schools.
During the meeting, CM Gandapur directed that the provision of furniture, potable water, availability of washrooms and modern training for teachers will be ensured during the next financial year 2025-2026 under education emergency plan.
Chief Minister Gandapur said from the next year no student in government schools will sit on the floor as every government school will receive required furniture. The Chief Minister said that all students in public schools would get proper furniture and required funds would be given on a priority basis.
The Chief Minister said a good learning environment was very important. He added that giving basic facilities like furniture, clean drinking water, and proper washrooms in schools was his government’s top priority.
He clearly said that there should be no compromise on these basic needs. He also told the officials to start special programs to improve teaching quality in schools. The Chief Minister said that modern training for teachers was necessary. He also said that all newly hired teachers must get this training to improve education in the province.
