Two miners lost their lives after being overcome by poisonous gas in a coal mine located in the Shahrag coalfields area of Harnai, rescue officials said.
According to rescue sources, the incident occurred in a coal mine situated in Area No. 5 of the Shahrag coal mining region. The miners reportedly suffocated after toxic gas accumulated inside the mine.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the site immediately after the incident was reported. Authorities launched an operation to evacuate miners from the affected mine and ensure the safety of other workers.
Officials confirmed that two miners died in the accident, while efforts were underway to remove workers from the mine and assess the situation.
