The discovery of hair and pieces of cloth inside the stomachs of young girls has stirred a controversy.

Parents of girls claimed it to be the result of ‘black magic’ while medics suggested a possible medical condition.

Health specialists attribute the condition to a rare disorder known as Rapunzel Syndrome, which occurs when individuals unintentionally swallow hair, forming large hairballs (trichobezoars) in the stomach. This is often associated with psychological conditions like Trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder) and Pica (compulsive eating of non-food items).

However, a spiritual healer believes otherwise, insisting black magic could be responsible for such unusual occurrences.

"This is a medical condition often linked to psychological disorders like trichotillomania and pica," Dr Faizan Elahi told 24NewsHD.

"There is no supernatural element involved," he added.

On the other hand, Maulana Mian Akram insisted that ‘black magic’ could be behind such unusual occurrences.

"We have seen many such cases where supernatural forces manipulate human behavior. This needs spiritual intervention," he said.
