Over 70 international flights of different airlines were scheduled to depart from Pakistan due to the US-Iran and Israel war, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
These flights were scheduled to take off for their destinations from Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA), Lahore; Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi; New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA), Islamabad; and Peshawar.
Sources said that the majority of flights that were scheduled to land in Middle East countries were from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
It is necessary to mention here that the closed airspace across the Middle East has plunged travel plans into chaos around Australia and the world.
Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates closed their skies hours after the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, which resulted in numerous flight cancellations.
Australian travellers across the nation and abroad have been left stranded as a result, including Penny Milton, who has been stuck in Qatar for hours.
