Israel's Magen David Adom emergency services said Saturday they were evacuating a 16-year-old to hospital with lower limb injuries following a new salvo of Iranian missiles, the second injury in Israel since the morning.
In an update from an earlier statement that had identified the youth as a 17-year-old, MDA listed two people injured from missile fire towards Israel.
He was "a 16-year-old male injured by shrapnel in Kafr Qassem", a mostly Arab-Israeli city east of the coastal hub of Tel Aviv.
The first injury was "a man approximately 50 years old injured by blast impact in Ka'abiyye-Tabbash", another Arab-Israeli majority city, in Israel's north.
It said there were 86 individuals who suffered minor injuries while making their way to shelters, while six others suffered from anxiety.
MDA said that its teams are transferring "bedridden patients, ventilated patients, and others from their current locations to protected facilities".
It added that all 39,000 employees and volunteers of the organisation were mobilised, and at "peak readiness".
The United States and Israel launched a wave of strikes against targets in Iran on Saturday, sparking swift retaliation by the Islamic republic which responded with missile attacks across the region.
Arab Israelis, descendants of Palestinians who stayed on their land after Israel's creation in 1948, comprise less than 20 percent of Israel's population of 10.1 million.
Their community often complains of a lack of bomb shelters in their villages and cities, making them more vulnerable during missile attacks than other populations in Israel.
