Indian actor Sonal Chauhan has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs after being stranded in Dubai amid rising tensions between the United States and Iran.

Flight cancellations and airspace restrictions across parts of the Middle East have left several international travellers grounded, including Sonal.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sonal requested urgent assistance from the Indian government, tagging both the Prime Minister and the Ministry of External Affairs.

In her post, she wrote that she is currently stuck in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis, with flights cancelled and no clear route back to India. She sought official guidance and support to ensure a safe return home.

The disruption follows reported missile attacks and heightened regional security concerns, which led to precautionary airspace closures in parts of the Gulf. Airports across the region have witnessed chaos, with families and passengers stranded as airlines reassess operations.

Indian badminton star PV Sindhu is also among those stranded in Dubai. Sharing updates on social media, Sindhu described hearing interceptions overhead and witnessing tense scenes at the airport. She noted that while she and her team are safe, the situation remains frightening and uncertain.

In a later update, she mentioned an explosion near their location at the airport, after which they were moved to a more secure area with assistance from airport authorities and the Indian High Commission.

As of now, there has been no official statement regarding Sonal's appeal. Authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation as airlines adjust flight schedules in response to regional developments.
