Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said that after the timely supply of LNG, load management for electricity in the country has been completely eliminated.
In a video statement issued on Friday, the energy minister said in the recent days, due to a shortage of gas, loadshedding had to be implemented for a limited time; however, the government prioritized responsible decisions to protect the public from expensive electricity.
“There has been a significant increase in the production of wind power, which has now reached up to 6,000 megawatts, while timely measures have been taken to improve the system,” Leghari maintained.
He said the Ministry of Energy assures the public that all possible measures will continue in the future to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply and to keep prices under control.
