The federal government has announced another reduction in the price of kerosene oil, lowering it by Rs4.45 per litre, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).
Following the latest adjustment, the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs360.76 per litre, down from the previous rate of Rs365.21 per litre. The revised price will come into effect from May 1.
This marks the second consecutive reduction in kerosene prices, as the government had slashed the fuel’s rate by Rs63.60 per litre just last week.
Officials said the downward revision reflects recent trends in the international oil market and forms part of the government’s periodic review of petroleum product prices.
