Working hours of lower courts in Punjab changed from Nov 1

In connection with the start of the winter season, the working hours of the lower courts (civil and session courts) have been changed from Nov 1, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Chief Justice (CJ) of the Lahore High Court (LHC) issued a notification in this regard about two weeks ago.  

The notification regarding the new working hours of the lower courts would be applicable from November 1 to March 31, 2022.

According to the notification, from November 1, the civil and session courts would be open from 9 a.m. to 4 pm from Monday to Saturday except Friday.

On Friday, the work will start from 9 am till 12 pm. These orders are implemented in the Lahore High Court and other lower courts of the Punjab.

 Lunch and prayer breaks would be from 1 pm to 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday and Saturday.

Copies of the notification regarding the change of courts’ working hours have been sent to all the concerned institutes and authorities.
