Foreign Office reshuffles a number of diplomats

The federal government has made major changes in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions by reshuffling several top officials, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

New Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Termezi assumed his new charge in Moscow, Russia.

Khalid Khan Jamali, who retired in the Russian Federation, has now been appointed as Additional Foreign Secretary Admin.

Zahed Hussain has been appointed Director General Middle East.

He has been appointed replacing new Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Iltamish Wazir Khan.

Former Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Hassan Zeigham has been appointed Director General Central Asia. 

Bilal Chaudhry has been appointed Director General, South Asia. He replaced Ambassador-designate to Romania Ilyas Nizami. 

According to diplomatic sources, Pakistani Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Shafqat Ali Khan has arrived in Abu Dhabi after performing Umrah. 

Faisal Niaz Termezi was discharging his duties in the UAE.

Dar chairs meeting

A high-level inter-ministerial committee meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was held in Islamabad to review government efficiency, particularly the operations of Pakistan Missions abroad.

The Deputy Prime Minister underscored strengthening Pakistan’s diplomatic footprint, ensuring Mission outputs are fully aligned with national strategic objectives and elevating institutional performance abroad through enhanced synergy and coordination among all relevant ministries and departments.
