The Faisalabad Education Department has issued a clarification in response to rumors circulating on social media regarding the closure of schools' afternoon classes, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.
The department confirmed that no school operating in the second shift will be shut down, provided the required student strength is maintained.
According to the official notification, afternoon classes in girls’ schools will continue as long as there are more than 35 students enrolled, while boys’ schools running in the second shift will remain operational if they have at least 50 students.
The department stressed that the criteria aim to ensure the effective utilization of resources while continuing to provide access to education for students in the district.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education Faisalabad, Rao Abdul Kareem, has issued an official directive to the heads of all schools running second shifts, instructing them to maintain the continuity of these programs.
Furthermore, the CEO has also directed schools to increase enrollment in the afternoon shift to expand educational access and accommodate the growing number of students.
