Mild earthquake strikes Karachi’s Malir

An earthquake of 3.2 magnitude struck Karachi's Malir neighbourhood on Wednesday, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The quake was recorded to have occurred at 9:34 am with its epicentre around seven kilometres northwest of Malir at a depth of 10 kilometres, the Met Office added.

No injuries or damage to any property was reported so far.

Since June 1, Karachi has experienced a series of mild earthquakes, including a 2.0 magnitude tremor in Malir on June 5 and a 2.1 magnitude jolt in southern Malir on June 4. No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
