Sana Javed warned her fans and viewers of a verified Facebook page with millions of followers pretending to be her.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Javed shared a screenshot of the Facebook page pretending to be her. It showed that it had a following in millions and also had a verified badge. The profile and cover photos on that page showed Sana sitting beside her now-husband, Shoaib Malik resting her head on his shoulder.
Taking to the caption, she said that, “This is a fake page, and I am unsure how it was verified.”
Telling the viewers to stay cautious, she said, “Please refrain from sharing any statements or content from this account. I have already reported it and escalated the matter to the concerned authorities. They will be soon taking appropriate action against this fraudulent page.”
A local showbiz media outlet also spread this with her fans and their viewers saying that, “Recently, some alleged statements attributed to Sana Javed regarding cricket went viral through a Facebook page. Since Sana has never posted about cricket, we looked into the authenticity of these claims. Our investigation revealed that the page in question, although Meta-subscribed, does not belong to Sana. Her official page is a non-verified one, which she uses. We urge everyone to verify the authenticity of such content before sharing.”
It was also revealed that Sana’s actual account on Facebook does not have a verified badge, but her fake account, which has more followers than her real one actually has a Meta verified badge.
