District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore issued a notification regarding changes to government school timings, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
As per the notification, government schools will start functioning from 8 am to 1.30 pm, while on Friday, the schools will be closed at 12 pm.
The second shift in government schools will start from 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The classes of the second shift will start at 2.30 pm on Friday.
Earlier, in a separate notification Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) directed to close all those schools that were badly affected by due to floods.
The outsourced schools were asked not to allow the students to sit on the floor. If any school’s building is affected, then the students must be shifted to another building in the adjacent area.
PEF personnel assured that they will extend their full cooperation to the district administration for the establishment of any relief camp.
The licensee will be responsible for the security of valuable goods, which will be available at the relief camps.
