As many as 1,000 passengers stranded when Hazara Express developed a fault in Haripur on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The train’s engine came to a halt after its water pump stopped working near Sarai Saleh in Haripur.

The passengers of the train which was travelling to Karachi from Havelian were waiting for a repair team in the scorching heat for over two hours now.

The Pakistan Railways officials, however, informed the passengers that a new engine will replace the faulty one.
