The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has extended financial assistance to hundreds of families across the country, according to statistics presented in the National Assembly.
As per the report, 258 families in seven districts of Punjab are currently registered under the programme. In Sindh, 86 families in two districts are benefiting from the initiative, while 285 families across six districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have also received support.
The data further shows that 110 families in two districts of Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir are availing assistance through the programme. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 93 families in one district are registered beneficiaries.
In Balochistan, families in two districts have also been included under the scheme, according to the report.
Officials informed the House that Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has disbursed a total of Rs145.67 million to deserving families since its establishment, as part of its mandate to provide financial relief and social protection to vulnerable segments of society.
