An officer of Crime Control Department (CCD) has been arrested for his role in Rs20.75 million robbery in Jhelum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The action was taken by Additional Inspector General of CCD Suhail Zafar Chattha.
According to report, Constable Zaheer Wana committed the crime along with his colleagues in a private society.
The crime was committed at gunpoint by entering a house on July 10.
The CCD officers did not include the names of two people, including their constable, in the FIR
On July 17, a case was registered against four accused and two were arrested.
The number of accused arrested, including CCD official Zaheer Wana, has increased to three.
Two accused had obtained interim bails while Shahroz has been discharged from the case after being proven innocent.
