The Punjab government on Saturday decided to suspend Orange Line train service as Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian will arrive in Pakistan on a two-day official visit, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On his arrival at the provincial capital, the Iranian Presidetn will be received by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Federal Minister for Housing and Works Riyaz Hussain Pirzada. The Iranian President will also visit Mazar-e-Iqbal
Security advice was issued in this regard, after which the provincial government decided to suspend the Orange Line train service from 1 pm till late at night.
Sources said that the decision to suspend Orange Line train service was taken on the security advice issued by the Commissioner's Office and the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSO) Security.
