A child died while thirty-seven other people fell ill after consuming poisonous vermicelli in Rajanpur district’s remote village Umer Kot on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

According to rescue officials, a 7-year-old child died on his way to hospital, while three others critical were referred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan.

The preliminary investigations reveal that the vermicelli had been stored alongside a toxic spray, causing the poison to contaminate the food.
