Mostly citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have supported the establishment of new provinces and smaller administrative units on administrative grounds, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
KP citizens said that reforms in the administrative structure are the need of the hour for effective governance in the country and timely resolution of public issues.
The citizens said that if more provinces or sub-administrative units are established on administrative grounds, government services can be delivered to the people more quickly and effectively.
According to them, due to the vast administrative scope of the current four provinces, there are difficulties in providing facilities to remote areas.
The citizens further said that increasing the number of provinces will improve public representation, and more attention can be paid to development projects at the local level, and transparency and efficiency in administrative affairs will also improve.
