Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal met with Global Fund CEO Peter Sands in Geneva on Tuesday to discuss progress in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), and Malaria in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking after the meeting, Mustafa Kamal said that effective measures are underway to prevent and control these diseases across the country.
He described the Global Fund as a “long-standing and important partner” in Pakistan’s disease control programs and praised the organisation’s services in the health sector as commendable.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with ongoing cooperation and agreed to further strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and the Global Fund to improve health outcomes.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to Geneva, Dr. Bilal Ahmed, accompanied the Health Minister during the discussions.
