Three armed robbers snatched Rs 3 crore from a citizen inside Kanjran Mandi in the Chung–Shahpur Kanjran area Tuesday, according to police.
The victim, identified as Karamat Ali from Raiwind Road, had arrived at the cattle market to purchase livestock when the robbers struck. The assailants, riding motorcycles, held him at gunpoint and seized the cash.
Police said two of the robbers had their faces covered, while a third was unmasked during the robbery. A case has been registered, but the culprits have so far not been traced.
Authorities said evidence is being collected from the crime scene, and investigations are ongoing to identify and arrest the suspects.
