Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has been tasked to woo MQM after the three-member committee of the PTI-led federal government failed to win back Karachi-based party’s support.

After holding talks with MQM leaders in Karachi on Sunday, the Senate Chairman said “I wish that MQM returns to the cabinet to resolve the issues of the people.”

The Senate Chairman advised Khalid Maqbool Sadiqui to rejoin the cabinet in order to resolve the issues.

On this occasion, Siddiqui, the MQM chief, said that they had extended their support to Sadiq Sanjrani for his election as chairman of the upper house of the parliament. “Now, we hope that the Senate chairman will return us the favour,” he added.

Earlier, PTI leadership had sent Asad Umer, Pervez Khattak, and Jahangir Tareen to Bahadurabad twice.

This time, it animated Senate Chairman who was asked to take up the gauntlet. However, MQM says that there are no chances of its return to the cabinet until practical steps are taken (by the government).
