Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan has said he was oblivious to transferring her spouse Bushra Bibi to Bani Gala from Adiala Jail.
“We neither requested to go home nor ask for leniency,” he told journalists in the courtroom on Thursday.
He added: “Today I came to know that Bushra Bibi moved to Bani Gala yesternight. I sent her a blanket.
“I don't know why Bushra Bibi was taken to Bani Gala."
He argued: “Bushra Bibi was implicated in the cases to defame me. She has nothing to do with these cases.
"She has nothing to do with the necklace issue. The necklace based on which the punishment was imposed will be shown to the public in the press conference.
“They were creating military courts by passing such controversial verdicts. The is not from Toshakhna."
He added “This was delivered to my house by the Saudi Ambassador himself. I deposited this necklace in Toshakhana.
“They are ruining the justice system by pronouncing the decisions they have been dictated."
He continued “She went to jail t because many of our women are prisoned.”
The ex-PM said he has not joined politics for power.
Regarding political contacts, the PTI founder said, “They approached Bushra Bibi to contact me but she told them to go to jail.
“No one talks to me. It is all about power.”
