Justice Tanveer Ahmad of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ordered the release of 25 brick-kiln workers including women and children after rescuing them from illegal detention, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A citizen, Mohammad Hassan, filed a petition in the Lahore High Court seeking the recovery of the detained brick-kiln workers.
During the hearing, the lawyer for the petitioners said that the owners of the brick-kiln, Rana Dildar and Rana Ikran, kept them in illegal detention for a long time.
The lawyer representing the owners argued that all the brick-kiln workers are working on their own and without any pressure.
After hearing the arguments from both sides, Justice Tanveer Ahmad ordered the release of all the detained brick kiln workers immediately.
